HE Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Mohamed Al Budaiwi revealed that the Advisory Board of the GCC Supreme Council submitted more than 53 studies, covering multiple topics linked to constructive ideas that support the Council's progress and meet its aspirations.
He pointed out that the GCC General Secretariat is following up on studies approved by the Supreme Council to turn them into joint action plans to support the process and meet the directives and aspirations of the Council, and the aspirations of the citizens of the GCC states.

During the first meeting of the 27th session of the Advisory Board of the Supreme Council of the GCC states, held in Doha on Wednesday, Al Budaiwi indicated that the mandate issued by the Supreme Council of the Advisory Body during the Doha Summit came through studying a number of topics, represented by energy security in the Gulf region, the security of technical alternatives and new systems, a strategy to protect young people from the danger of drug abuse and addiction in the GCC, and ways to preserve the growing emerging family in the Gulf region from the negative effects of the variables affecting the global economy.

He added that this mandate emphasizes the important role played by the advisory body in providing studies that help in dealing with these issues in a manner consistent with the framework of the joint Gulf action system to achieve the targeted matters.

He stressed that the GCC General Secretariat supports the Advisory Board by providing the necessary requirements to enable it to perform its tasks in the desired manner within an integrated work team. He expressed his belief in this solid entity, which is considered an impenetrable fortress on which the GCC states rely to protect their gains, preserve their security and stability, and enhance and develop prosperity under the leadership of Their Majesties and Highnesses, the leaders of the GCC states.

He noted that the great belief in the important role played by the Advisory Board came based on the decision of Their Majesties and Highnesses, the leaders of the GCC states to establish this board to support the progress of the GCC states, which confirms the necessity of strengthening the Board's work, and supporting the implementation of studies approved by the Supreme Council system, as well as developing work mechanisms and supporting the integration of roles between the Board and the ministerial committees.

Al Budaiwi appreciated the efforts of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, Chairman of the 44th Session of the GCC Supreme Council, through the constant support provided by the State of Qatar to strengthen the process of joint Gulf action in all fields to achieve the aspirations of the leaders, peoples, and the GCC states.
