The International Horticultural Expo 2023 Doha has celebrated Kyrgyzstan Day in the celebration square at the International Zone, in the presence of HE the Minister of Communications and Information Technology Mohamed bin Ali al-Mannai, the Kyrgyz Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy Altynbek Maksutov, and a number of government officials and heads of diplomatic missions accredited to Qatar.
The celebration included a number of cultural and artistic activities about Kyrgyz culture, with cultural, heritage and artistic performances featuring musicians and singers in traditional costume playing Kyrgyz instruments.
Following the celebration, the participating officials visited the Kyrgyz pavilion, which showcases key tourist attractions and the most prominent sustainability and climate change initiatives.
The Kyrgyz pavilion provides visitors with the opportunity to learn about the new paths that the country is adopting to build the future, and displays its growing economic potential as well as the approach it is taking to benefit from innovation and knowledge and enhance sustainability as an engine for development, in addition to its efforts to develop and promote its vital sectors such as agriculture, tourism and energy.
Visitors can explore sections highlighting the landmarks that reflect the history, traditions and cultural heritage of the Kyrgyz people.
A delegation from the Kyrgyz ministry of culture, information, sports and youth policy also visited the Qatar pavilion.
Maksutov praised the magnitude of innovations and initiatives that promote sustainability present at the expo, reflecting the vision of the participating countries to address climate challenges and supporting the agricultural sector in addition to the initiatives that enhance sustainability.
He also praised the efforts by Qatar in organising the expo.
