The Ministry of Labour (MOL) honored the trainers and trainees participating in the first vocational camp for university students which it organized in cooperation with the Interprofessional Education Student Association at Qatar University and in partnership with the Qatar Career Development Center (QCDC) and sponsored by Ahli Bank.
The five-day camp aimed to empower students who are about to graduate by equipping them with the essential skills required for the job market, familiarizing them with the various aspects and prerequisites of the market, directing them toward vocational training, and presenting opportunities within this field.
The camp offered a wide range of hands-on professional workshops, diverse activities, and on-site visits to gain insights into the working environment. This significantly boosted awareness regarding the significance of self-improvement and bolstered self-assurance, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities. It facilitated the application of acquired knowledge and skills in real-life projects and interactive workshops, ultimately leading to the acquisition of robust professional competencies applicable across various domains.
The honoring ceremony was attended by Assistant Undersecretary of National Manpower Affairs in the private sector at the MOL, Shaikha Abdulrahman Al Badi and Director of the QCDC, Abdulla Al Mansoori, in addition to a number of officials from the MOL and the QCDC. (QNA)
