The coach of the Syrian national football team, Argentine Hector Cuper, affirmed his great confidence in his team's ability to win over the Indian team in their match, Tuesday, at Al Bayt Stadium in the final round of Group A of the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023.
He revealed during a pre-match press conference that Tuesday's encounter is extremely critical for the Syrian team, which showed a good level during the two previous games and seeks to continue with such performance to reach the round of 16 for the first time after six previous participations in the tournament.
The coach added that the team is currently playing well and does not think of change just for the sake of it, because the whole group of players needs more harmony as the factor of stability is vital.
On the other hand, Cuper stated that the Indian team play with intensity and high pressure, and cannot be underestimated. Both teams will strive to win the match to reach the next round, so the players must focus throughout the match.
