GCC and Arab TV channels continue to broadcast the accompanying atmosphere of AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023, which will last until Feb. 10, as reports highlight the events in the tourist landmarks that Qatar is famous for.
Media personnel emphasized the beauty of the accompanying events and the giant screens spread out for fans to watch the matches comfortably, describing the overall ambiance as having a "World Cup atmosphere with an Asian flavor."
In its program "Doha Asia," Abu Dhabi Sports TV covers daily events and activities taking place in the tourist landmarks of the State of Qatar, such as Souq Waqif and the Wisdom Square in Katara Cultural Village.
Former Bahraini footballer Hammoud Sultan said in the program that currently, fans come from all around to attend the competition and support their teams, unlike in the past when fans were limited to the host country, pointing out that this is attributed to the facilities provided to football fans, including travel and accommodation arrangements, through the excellent organization of the current tournament, showing harmony among the fans despite the large numbers and without any problems.
The report said that by the end of the week, the Wisdom Square in Katara will host cultural events for the participating countries in the tournament. This aims to introduce cultures and bring them closer together. Other events showcasing traditional Qatari culture also receive a warm welcome from the public, as this square one of the most important entertainment venues, especially with the wonderful atmosphere accompanying these activities and the giant screens, the report added.
The "Doha Asia" report concluded that there is great public satisfaction with the level of organization in this tournament, described as global, as all fans agree on the beauty of the accompanying events, noting that the tournament's cup is on display for the fans to take photos with.
In an interview with "Here Asia" program on Saudi sports channel, Emirati sports journalist Mohammed Al-Joker said that Qatar is fully prepared to host a tournament of the stature of the Asian Cup, transforming it from a mere football championship into a carnival." He added that this is why Qatar is now called the sports capital of the Arab world and the Middle East, and in reality, it is the sports capital of the world.
He also emphasized that all the developments, events, and programs seen today confirm the presence of a clear strategic vision in Qatar.
Saudi sports journalist Abdullah Al-Faraj said that the scent of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 still pervades all streets and parks in Qatar. He pointed out that Qataris has presented beautiful events in places like Souq Waqif, Msheireb, Lusail, and The Pearl.
He added that he has seen how all visitors to Qatar are enjoying their time and the beautiful atmosphere found here, responding positively to this beautiful organization and fantastic events.
Correspondent for Saudi SSC channels in Doha Khalid Al Shehri said in a news bulletin that the atmospheres in Qatar these days is beautiful and it is a World Cup atmosphere with an Asian flavor, noting that Saudi fans are considered the most present in Qatar, supporting their team and celebrating in their accommodations, as well as in Msheireb, Lusail, and Souq Waqif.
He explained that the celebrations start early and continue until late at night, highlighting the positive atmosphere within the Saudi national team's camp.
In an article titled "Qatari Generosity," published UAE's newspaper Al Bayan, journalist Mohammed Al-Joker said that the Qatari generosity is indescribable, as it has been felt by all participants in the AFC Asian Cup. Qatar does not differentiate between players, officials, media personnel, or even fans, and has provided comfort and facilitated all logistical matters for those who have arrived, he noted, adding that today, Qatar is experiencing a new phase of radical change in sports mindset.
He also underlined that no matter what he writes about the magnificence of the stadiums, facilities, and infrastructure, he will not do them justice because the arrangement and organization witnessed in the stadiums and beyond are worthy of appreciation.
Al-Joker continued that the success of Qatar national team in achieving a perfect record has added to the brilliance of the tournament, as they became the first to qualify for the Round of 16 in the Asian Cup, continuing their journey to defend their AFC Asian Cup title. (QNA)
