The Moroccan Hussein Ammouta, Jordan national football team coach said that his team's draw with South Korea 2-2 in the 2nd round of Group E competitions of the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023, is a very positive outcome for Jordan, despite their losing a win in the overtime.
In a press conference, the Coach said that a draw with South Korea, a strong team and potential champion, constitutes an important achievement for Jordan, adding that his team played spectacularly well on all levels, and were high-spirited, confident, and focused throughout the match, despite all odds.
Ammouta said that his team's performance now is completely different to that of pre-tournament preparations, indicating that time has enabled his players to get a better grasp of technical and tactical aspects, in addition to allowing them some time to rest.
The Jordanian team coach said that every one of his team players understood the responsibility that is upon on their shoulders and delivered exceptionally.
He thanked Jordanian and Arab fans for their support throughout the tournament which empowered players to give their best possible performance. He also praised the organizing committee for its great efforts to make this tournament the success that it is, which is having such a positive reflection on players' ability to shine, noting that all aspects of this tournament are ideal.
