Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said Thursday that Russian air defense units shot down a drone south of the capital without causing damage or casualties.
Sobyanin said in a statement that the drone was intercepted and shot down in the Podolsky District while it was on its way towards the capital, adding that fragments fell on the ground, but no damage or injuries occurred.
The Russian Defense Ministry announced the killing of 25 Ukrainian soldiers and the downing of 11 missiles during the last 24 hours.
Since the outbreak of the Russian military operation in Ukraine in February 2022, both sides claim to have inflicted heavy losses on the other without being able separately to confirm the numbers in light of the continuation of the war, which international and regional efforts have not succeeded in ending so far.
