The general index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) dropped 16.87 points, or 0.16 percent, at the beginning of trading on Wednesday to reach the level of 10,481 points, compared to yesterday's closing.
The performance of QSE general index was weighed down by a decline in five sectors: Insurance by 0.94 percent, Communications by 0.50 percent, Industrials by 0.49 percent, Banking and Financial Services by 0.22 percent, and Transportation by 0.10 percent. In contrast, the performance was positive for Real Estate by 0.33 percent and Consumer Goods and Services by 0.18 percent.
At 10:00 am, Qatar Stock Exchange recorded 2,042 transactions worth QR 52.265 million, distributed to 18.030 million shares.
