Malaysia manager Kim Pan-gon said Sunday his side would face a real challenge against Jordan on Monday as they seek a huge breakthrough in the ongoing AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023.

The South Korean told the media his men were primed for the Group E clash at the Al Janoub Stadium and for the tournament that sees the Harimau Malaya's first continental appearance since the 2007 edition when Kuala Lumpur hosted event.

Hailing Jordan's remarkable and strong players, particularly in the attack, the 54-year-old said he was aiming to take his team into the last-16.

Malaysia, who never made it past the group stage, will be in action a group that includes Jordan, Bahrain and one of the clear favorites to lift the trophy, South Korea. (QNA)
