The competitions of the 15th Qatar International Falcons and Hunting Festival in its 15th edition (Marmi 2024) are progressing at Sabkat Marmi in the Sealine Area, attracting falcon lovers and tourists.
Organised by Al Qannas Qatari Society under the patronage of HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad al-Thani, the festival hosts the Talaa Championship during the forenoon and Haddad Al Tahadi challenges in the afternoon. The festival will continue until January 27.
Rashdan Obaid al-Rashdan, vice chairman of Al-Talaa Committee, said the tournament qualifiers rounds will continue until Monday and the qualifiers for groups from 31 to 34 will be held Sunday.
Miteb Mubarak al-Qahtani, director of the Marmi Festival, crowned the qualifier and winner in the Hadad Challenge Championship. The qualifier in the Hadad Al Tahadi Championship receives a sum of QR 100,000 in addition to the qualification shield.
Abdul Wahab Omair al-Nuaimi, deputy director of the Marmi Festival, said the Hadad Al Tahadi Championship witnessed strong manoeuvres and performance showcasing the capabilities of the competitors.
