The number of martyrs in Gaza rose to 20,057 Palestinians, while the total number of wounded reached 53,320, as the Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip continues for the 77th day.
The spokesperson of the ministry of Health in Gaza Ashraf Al-Qudra said in a press statement today that 390 martyrs and 734 injuries were recorded in the Gaza Strip during the past 48 hours.
The occupation forces continue their brutal aggression against the Gaza Strip, for the 77th day, by launching dozens of air strikes, fire belts, artillery shelling, and committing new massacres against civilians, amid a catastrophic humanitarian situation as a result of the siege and the displacement of more than 90 percent of the population.
The occupation aircraft targeted today several homes in the Abu Iskandar area, north of Gaza City, while the occupation launched very violent raids on the Jabalia camp, north of the city.
In Bureij, south of Gaza City, a woman killed and others were injured in an Israeli bombing of an inhabited house, while a civilian was killed and others were injured in the bombing of another house in the Khan Yunis camp in the south of the Strip.
In a related development, the Civil Defense recovered martyrs and wounded after the occupation targeted an inhabited house in the city of Rafah in the south last night. It also recovered wounded people after the occupation targeted a house in Yabna camp at dawn in Rafah.
On the ground, the occupation forces continue their incursions into several areas in the Gaza Strip, amid fierce clashes taking place in those areas.
Reports indicate that there are injuries and martyrs in the incursion areas, while medical teams are unable to recover them due to the occupation preventing them from arriving.
In light of the continuation of this devastating Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip for two and a half months, the United Nations World Food Program (WFP) warned yesterday that more than 570,000 people in Gaza are facing "catastrophic hunger," calling for the urgent need to bring in more humanitarian and vital aid.
