HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani chaired the Cabinet's regular meeting held at its seat at the Amiri Diwan on Wednesday morning.
After the meeting, HE Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs issued the following statement:
At the outset of the meeting, the Cabinet praised the outcome of the working visit HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani paid to the friendly Republic of Uzbekistan yesterday (Tuesday). HH the Amir held an official round of talks with HE President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, included the announcement of a bilateral relations upgrade to the strategic level to serve the joint interests and the two friendly peoples. The talks also addressed the most prominent regional and international issues of mutual interest, especially the latest developments in the occupied Palestinian territories and Gaza. HE the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan applauded the diplomatic efforts of HH the Amir and the State of Qatar in regard to the Israeli aggression on the occupied Palestinian territories and Gaza.
The Cabinet underlined that Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani International Anti-Corruption Excellence Award for which HH the Amir attended the award ceremony in Tashkent yesterday, in the presence of HE President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, reflected the distinguished role carried out by the State of Qatar in combatting corruption, promoted the international communitys awareness of the importance of countering it and upholding the values of integrity and transparency regionally and internationally, and constituted an important incentive and great support for fighters of corruption throughout the world, as it is the greatest threat to development and the well-being of peoples.
The Cabinet mourned with great sorrow and sadness the death of HH Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah who spent his life serving Kuwait and its people and working to enhance the joint GCC action and support the Arab and Islamic issues; and deserved, thanks to his wisdom, sincerity and generosity, this high status inside and outside Kuwait.
The Cabinet expressed sincerest condolences to the honorable ruling family and to the government and brotherly people of Kuwait; praying to Allah Almighty to have mercy upon him, and for the sisterly State of Kuwait continued security and stability and further development, prosperity and progress, under the leadership of HH the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

The Cabinet then considered the topics on its agenda as follows:
First, the Cabinet was informed of the Shura Councils approval of a draft law issuing the Judicial Implementation Law.

Second, the Cabinet approved a draft law on dealing in regulated products, and decided to refer it to the Shura Council.

Third, the Cabinet took the necessary measures to ratify the following:
- Memorandum of understanding for cooperation in legal fields between the Ministry of Justice of the State of Qatar and the Ministry of Legal Affairs and the Chambers of the Attorney General of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana.
2- Agreement on economic, commercial and technical cooperation between the government of the State of Qatar and the government of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana.
3- Agreement on the encouragement and protection of mutual investments between the government of the State of Qatar and the government of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana.
4- Agreement on the establishment and management of cultural centers between the government of the State of Qatar and the Cabinet Office of the Kyrgyz Republic.
5- Memorandum of understanding between the government of the State of Qatar and the government of the Republic of Singapore regarding the implementation of a training program for the countries of the Asia-Middle East Dialogue at the Regional Training Center for Public Administration in the State of Qatar.

Fourth, the Cabinet approved a draft memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of endowments and Islamic affairs between the government of the State of Qatar and the government of the Republic of the Philippines.

Fifth, the Cabinet reviewed the following topics and took appropriate decisions thereon:
1- Audited accounts of Qatar International Court (Civil and Commercial Court) and the Regulatory Court of Qatar Financial Center for the fiscal year 2022.
2- Report on the outcome of HE the Minister of Public Health's participation in the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development.
3- Report on the outcome of HE the Minister of Commerce and Industry's participation in the 51st meeting of the Industrial Cooperation Committee, the 65th meeting of the Commercial Cooperation Committee, and the 6th meeting of the Ministerial Committee for Standardization Affairs in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
