HE the Minister of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs Ghanem bin Shaheen al-Ghanem has affirmed that Qatar National Day (QND) embodies the values of unity and harmony among all who live on Qatar's soil and serves as an opportunity to recall the rich journey of a nation, proud of the glories of the past and to treasure the achievement of the present while being hopeful for a bright future filled with success, accomplishment, peace and commitment to preserving the national identity and religious values.
In a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA), the minister said that it is a day of great significance and an opportunity to remember the noble legacy of the founder who placed the foundations for a modern state based on Islamic values and principles. He added that citizens renew their loyalty to the leader of the nation His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, to raise Qatar's flag high among nations while marching firmly, achieving milestones, upholding rights, preserving commitments, aiding those in need, championing truth and justice, clinging to values, ethics and presenting to the world a shining model of a secure and stable state, capable of achieving the highest rates of development and providing the finest standards of life for its generous people.
He pointed out that the ministry's efforts focus on consolidating a moderate approach, working in complete harmony with state institutions according to the government system and its comprehensive vision, enhancing its workforce, improving services and elevating its departments to fulfil their tasks within the framework entrusted to them, to achieve the Third National Development Strategy and to foster community partnerships. Additionally, the ministry strives to work from a perspective that serves comprehensive cultural security and maintains spiritual stability within society.
The minister highlighted the diverse accomplishments achieved by various departments of the ministry in the fields of endowments, cultural dissemination, research, endowment studies, publication of numerous scholarly books and theses, as well as hosting relevant scholarly seminars.
