Qatar Charity (QC), as part of its 2023-2024 winter campaign 'One Heart', distributed food packages to 2,500 workers of municipalities and various companies within the country.
The workers from the municipalities of Al Rayyan, Al Wakra, and Doha received the food packages, which were also distributed to those from the Tunisian community and job-seekers.
QC's Local Programmes and Community Department director Abdulrahman al-Hajri explained that the project is part of the commitment to serve all sections of the local community.
The distribution of food baskets to the workers is an expression of social solidarity and compassion, showing appreciation for their significant efforts in various fields, especially in infrastructure and public cleanliness, he added.
Al Rayyan Municipality's Service Affairs director Rashid Mubarak al-Mansouri expressed his gratitude to QC. The 'One Heart' winter campaign also aims to provide winter assistance to 4,100 workers within Qatar, by way of winter kits, food packages, medical aid and awareness activities.
