A delegation of the UN Security Council visited Al-Arish Airport in Egypt today to inspect the humanitarian response efforts in Gaza Strip.
This visit comes in the wake of the Security Council's failure for the second time on Friday to vote on a resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza Strip for humanitarian reasons, after the United States used its veto.
The draft resolution renewed calls on all parties to comply with their obligations under international law, including international humanitarian law, especially concerning the protection of civilians and ensuring the delivery of humanitarian aid to the besieged Gaza Strip.
