Qatar Chamber recently hosted a trade delegation from the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina led by Nahid Hassan Begovic, the president of the Businessman Association ‘Positiv’.
Qatar Chamber board member Dr Mohamed Jawhar al-Mohamed presided over the meeting, which was attended by board members Shaheen al-Mohannadi, Abdulla al-Emadi, and Ibtihaj al-Ahmadani.
Both sides engaged in discussions on enhancing economic and commercial co-operation between the two countries, with a focus on attracting Qatari investments to Bosnia. Additionally, they explored opportunities to promote various investment possibilities in Bosnia to the Qatari business community.
In his remarks, al-Mohamed commended the strong relations between both countries across diverse fields and highlighted the keen interest of Qatari investors and businessmen in exploring opportunities in Bosnia.
Al-Mohamed further mentioned that Qatar Chamber is set to host meetings of the Islamic Chamber next week, emphasising the importance of the Bosnian Chamber’s participation in these meetings and all activities of the Islamic Chamber.
For his part, Begovic said Positiv comprises 24 leading Bosnian companies specialising in various sectors. He noted that the visit aims to gain deeper insights into the Qatari market and extend invitations for Qatari investments in Bosnia.
Begovic praised Qatar’s achievements across various fields and underscored the excellent relations between Bosnia and Qatar. He also acknowledged Qatar’s substantial support to his country and other nations worldwide.
He also called for organising a visit by a Qatari delegation to Bosnia to explore available opportunities, engage with their Bosnian counterparts, and identify new avenues for cooperation and partnership.
In turn, al-Ahmadani, chairperson of the Qatari Businesswomen Forum, emphasised the importance of strengthening cooperation and communication between Qatari and Bosnian businessmen.
Similarly, al-Emadi pointed out that Qatari investors are eager to invest in Bosnia, considering it a gate to the EU. He stressed his readiness to collaborate with the Bosnian side in the field of furniture manufacturing. Also, al-Mohannadi highlighted the unique and positive relations between Qatar and Bosnia, noting that Bosnia is an attractive destination for tourism.
