While Israel is seizing the Palestinian funds, Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich wants to allocate millions of dollars in the 2023 budget to entrench colonization in the Palestinian territories, said Palestinian presidential spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeineh.
Abu Rudeineh said in that this proposal comes within the framework of the comprehensive war waged by the Israeli occupation authorities against the Palestinian people, their land, and their sanctities in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including Jerusalem.
Abu Rudeineh added that this proposal comes at a time when Israel is withholding Palestinian clearance funds and continuing its genocidal war against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and in the West Bank.
The presidential spokesman warned of the repercussions of this dangerous Israeli announcement on the security and stability of the region, calling on the US administration to intervene urgently and put pressure on the Israeli government to ensure that it is not implemented, and to release Palestinian funds held by the occupying state.
The Israeli Channel 12 revealed the new Israeli budget changes, which include an increase of 200 million Shekels (60 million dollars) to expand Israeli settlements on Palestinian lands in the occupied West Bank.
