The Palestinian Jabal Al Mukaber SC announced Sunday its official withdrawal from the AFC Cup tournament, before facing the Syrian Al Fotuwa on Monday, in the fifth round of the group stage.
Jabal Al Mukaber Club wrote on its official Facebook page that it had informed the Palestinian Football Association and Asian Football Confederation that the team would not continue in the AFC Cup, in light of the circumstances that the Palestinian people are going through.
Jabal Al Mukaber kicked off their campaign in the first group of the AFC Cup with a 1-0 win over Syrian Al Fotuwa, and 0-4 defeat to Omani Al Nahda SC. (QNA)
