The competitions of the fifth edition of the Ras Laffan Falcons Championship concluded on Saturday evening.
The championship was organized by Al Gannas Qatari Society at Marmi the Sealine Area and Al Gannas Qatari Society Arena Center, sponsored by Ras Laffan Community Outreach programme and its supporting companies. The winners in all competitions were crowned there.
Metaib al-Qahtani, director of Al Gannas Qatari Society Championships and Marmi Festival, alongside Saad Shaheen al-Humaidi, Communication Officer at Qatar Shell and member of Ras Laffan Community Outreach programme, crowned the winners and distributed commemorative shields on them. Al-Qahtani also presented a commemorative shield to the officials of Ras Laffan Community Outreach programme, which was received by Al-Humaidi.
Al-Qahtani stressed that the fifth edition of the Ras Laffan Falcons Championship was successful, as the falconers demonstrated their readiness for future challenges. He noted that these championships, organized by Al Gannas Qatari Society, contribute significantly to encouraging falconers to adhere to the heritage of their ancestors.
Accordingly, Al-Humaidi revealed Ras Laffan Community Outreach programme would support the championship for the next three years based on an agreement with Al Gannas Society. The fifth edition marks the first year within these three years.
In the meantime, the participating falconers in the fifth edition of the Ras Laffan Falcons Championship highly appreciated the high level of organization seen throughout the championship and the support they received during the event.
