A training programme for Qatar Guides was organised by the Qatar Scouts and Guides Association in collaboration with Birla Public School on October 30 with the participation of 11 schools from Doha. The aim was to train young girls with essential skills for personal growth and effective leadership.
The inaugural session was held in the presence of senior scout activities consultant Yacub al-Tamimi, scout activities consultants Ahmad al-Yousef and Khalid al-Hetmi, first scout activities expert Hezam Mesleh and Muna al-Mansouri, Paramjeet Kaur Buller, BPS acting principal Radhika Rele,
vice principal Edna Fernandez, headmaster (activities and discipline) Shijo Pullen along with leaders and guides.
There were stations based on training for guides' promise, oath, law, salute, knots, scarf folding, first aid and camping equipment. Dr Nader Mohamed Abbarah from the Ministry of Interior spoke to the guides on drug abuse. A team from Naseem Health Care guided them on oral healthcare. The Yell and Clap competition was one of the highlights. Philippines School Doha students performed a song.
