White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre stressed the need to protect hospitals in Gaza and not involve them in the fighting, affirming the US administration's commitment to making continuous efforts to achieve the release of hostages.
She pointed to the importance of protecting civilians and expressed the US position rejecting the presence of fighting in hospitals.
For his part, US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan explained that the US lacks accurate information regarding the locations of detainees in Gaza, indicating that negotiations are continuing to achieve their release.
Sullivan also affirmed the need for hospitals in Gaza to be able to provide appropriate medical care to patients, noting the continuation of talks with the Israeli entity about reaching a tactical humanitarian truce.
