The promising young falconers competed Friday at the 10th Qatar Isfari Falcon Championship 2023 at Al Gannas Qatari Society Centre in Ras Laffan. The competition included young falconers in the 11- 15 age category, alongside the professional and experienced falconers to gain expertise. This is part of the efforts by the Society to guarantee the continuity of such traditions and heritage of falconry and falcon hunting.
A large number of young falconers accompanied by their parents were very keen to take part in the championship. Qatar Isfari Falcon Championship is one of the most important tournaments organized by Al Gannas Society. It marks the beginning of a busy season with several championships and tournaments leading up to the Marmi Festival in January 2024, and set to be concluded Thursday.
