Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) will actively participate in Qatar’s National Major Incident Exercise, ‘Al Watan’ on November 7 from 8am to midnight. The simulation will involve the collaboration and co-ordinated activation of the following healthcare facilities: Hamad General Hospital, Hazm Mebaireek General Hospital, Al Khor Hospital, Al Wakra Hospital, Ministry of Public Health, Sidra and Primary Health Care Corporation.
Saleh al-Meqareh, assistant executive director at HMC’s Ambulance Service said: “The primary objective of the exercise is to assess the effectiveness of our existing emergency protocols, promote stronger co-operation among different agencies and pinpoint areas for improvement within our response mechanisms. We are committed to enhancing our preparedness for any potential major incidents in the future as it enables us to deliver the highest standard of care to our patients during challenging situations.”
‘Al Watan’ is a multi-agency exercise spanning various sectors, taking place over three days, from November 6-8.
