Doha: The Qatar national 3×3 basketball teams A and B have qualified for the semi-finals of the GCC 3X3 Basketball Championship, which Doha is hosting at Al Gharafa Sports Hall on November 3 and 4, with the participation of six teams from Kuwait and Oman, in addition to Qatar, the host country.
The Al Annabi Team A qualified for the semi-finals after defeating the Omani Team A 21-10 in the opening match of Group 1, and Kuwait Team B 21-19 in their second match, while the Al Annabi Team B also defeated Oman’s Team B 21-19 and Kuwait Team A 21-12.
With the results, the two Qatari teams topped their table with the maximum points, respectively.
Qatar National Team A will square it up with Kuwait Team A for a spot in the final today with the match to be held at the same venue, Al Gharafa Sports Hall, from 1pm, while Qatar’s Team B will be up against Kuwait Team B at 2pm.
The two losing teams in the semi-final will play a ranking match for third and fourth place later in the day.
