Qatar is against killing civilians and innocents, especially women and children, as well as the practice of collective punishment policy under any circumstance, HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim al-Thani, affirmed Sunday.
HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs reiterated Qatar's position in separate phone calls with the foreign ministers of Malaysia and Austria.
The Qatar News Agency (QNA) said HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs received a phone call Sunday from Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Austria Alexander Schallenberg.
During the phone call, they discussed the latest developments in the Palestinian territories and Israel and ways to reduce escalation.
During the call, HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed Qatar's firm stance in condemning all forms of targeting civilians. HE Sheikh Mohamed said that killing civilians and innocents, especially women and children, as well as the practice of collective punishment policy are unacceptable, under any circumstance.
HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs stressed the necessity of continuing entry of aid convoys and humanitarian assistance to Palestinian brothers who are trapped under bombardment.
He also underscored the need to coordinate regional and international efforts to stop the aggression against Gaza and work hard toward achieving a just and comprehensive peace.
HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim al-Thani also received a phone call Sunday from Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia Dr Zambry Abd Kadir.
