HE the Minister of State for International Co-operation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Lolwah bint Rashid AlKhater met with the visiting Special Representative of Japan's government and Special Envoy for the Middle East Peace, Uemura Tsukasa.
The meeting discussed bilateral relations and ways to support and upgrade them, in addition to discussing latest developments of the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories, especially the aggression on Gaza, ways for de-escalation and reinforcing co-operation to deliver humanitarian assistance to Gaza. HE AlKhater expressed Qatar's steadfast position to condemn all forms of targeting civilians, schools and hospitals, adding that killing of innocent civilians, especially women and children and practising collective punishment policy is reprehensible under any pretext. She underscored the importance of not hampering the humanitarian truce efforts and the delivery of aid, along with the significance of co-ordinating regional and international efforts to stop the aggression on Gaza, as well as the strenuous work to achieve just and comprehensive peace.
