Katara – Cultural Village hosted on Tuesday the opening of the “Treasures of Turkiye” exhibition at Building 47, displaying 40 photographic paintings of various landmarks.
The event was organised by Yunus Emre Exhibition, in cooperation with the Turkiye embassy in Qatar, marking the Republic’s centenary.
The exhibition was opened by Saif Saad al-Dosari, deputy general manager of Operations and director of Human Resources Department at Katara; in the presence of Turkiye ambassador Mustafa Göksu; Tansil Akut, director general of the Turkiye Cultural Centre Doha – Yunus Emre Institute; other ambassadors and representatives of diplomatic missions in Doha.
Turkiye photographer Ilker Cyhat Katak presented his country's unique geography in a distinct manner, emphasising its inherent beauty. In his speech, Akut noted that the exhibition is one of the cultural and artistic activities organised by the Yunus Emre Centre aimed at strengthening relations with friends of Turkiye around the world.
He explained that each picture contains a different story that introduces people to Turkiye better. The exhibition will run until October 25 at Building 47, Hall 1, from 10am to 10pm.
