The Regional Dialogue Forum on the Future of Education, Learning and Human Rights Education in the Arab Region kicked off in the capital Cairo on Wednesday with the participation of representatives of regional ministries and institutions, and experts from international and regional organizations.

The two-day forum aims to discuss the future of education and ways to enhance the integration of human rights and citizenship into educational curricula. The forum is being held as part of regional events commemorating the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the 20th anniversary of the adoption of the Arab Charter on Human Rights. It is organized in collaboration and partnership between the Arab Network of National Human Rights Institutions, the Arab Institute for Human Rights, the National Council for Human Rights in Egypt, the League of Arab States, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), and the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights.
