Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Tuesday called for immediate ceasefire and lifting the siege of Gaza Strip, reiterating its unequivocal rejection of forced displacement of Palestinian people.
In its session chaired by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, the Saudi cabinet called for giving impetus to peace process based on United Nations' Security Council and UN resolutions, as well as Arab Peace Initiative that aim to establish an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
Still, the airstrikes carried out by the Israeli occupation continue unabated on Gaza Strip claiming the lives of roughly 3,000 Palestinian martyrs and causing massive devastation of infrastructure and critical infrastructure in the midst of Israeli calls for Palestinians to evacuate north Gaza and head to the south, and at a time the occupation army has cut off food, water and electricity supplies, in addition to restricting the access of fuel to Gaza, triggering an unprecedented humanitarian and health crisis.
