The Al-Wasm (Al-Wasmi) season will be starting on Monday, October 16th and will last for 52 days until the 6th of December, the Department of Meteorology said Sunday.
The season is marked by the movement of clouds from the west to the east, and the rainfall during its early days is considered a herald of a good season of rain.
The period is called Al-Wasmi due to its compatibility with the rain that enables the growth of various plants, such as truffle plant and Geranium (Al-Yarwa).
Temperatures will drop during this period where, though days will be warm the night temperatures will be mild. The nights may tend to get cooler at times, especially with the blowing of dry Northwesterly winds.
