The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs called for halting discrimination in enforcing international law towards civilians and ramping up pressure on the occupation state to immediately stop the persistent Israeli aggression on Gaza, which reached its eighth consecutive day.

In a statement on Saturday, the ministry indicated that it continues its political and diplomatic movement to rally wider international condemnations and pushes Western countries towards halting the double standard policy towards the Palestinian civilians, along with the hateful selectivity in enforcing the international law on civilians' lives.

The ministry called for urgent international action to accomplish the ceasefire immediately, in addition to securing access to essential needs in the Gaza Strip, including water, electricity, medical and food items, and other supplies, as well as coercing the occupation state to uphold the international law towards the Palestinian civilians.

It condemned the open occupation's war on Palestinian people and their entire rights, especially the people of Gaza who are being exposed to genocide and unprecedented disaster, stressing the significance of pulling the Western countries from the framework of double standards to give priority to focus their attention on the blood and suffering of the Palestinian people like other people in the world.

Meanwhile, the Gaza Strip has been witnessing an unprecedented escalation since last Sunday, where the Israeli occupation continues heavy bombardment of the besieged Gaza Strip amid an intentional cutting off of electricity and water, in addition to preventing the access of food and fuel to its population of 2.1 million people.

The Israeli large-scale shelling which is described by UN and international relief organizations as the most violent and aggressive, has resulted in the fall of nearly two thousand martyrs, including hundreds of children and women, and massive devastation, along with damaged cities, with more than 400 thousand Palestinians fleeing the strip.
