Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar (WCM-Q) is participating in Expo 2023 Doha through an interactive educational pavilion that focuses on concepts of recycling and environmental sustainability, engaging all human senses under the theme 'Life Hub'. The pavilion is organised in collaboration with the Ministry of Municipality and the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change in the Innovation Center at the International Zone.
'Life Hub' provides visitors with a unique visual experience that takes them on an immersive journey in a seamless and lively way. It consists of four sections that discuss the most important global challenges: climate change, sustainability, nutrition and well-being, technology AI and how to address them. Each section plays a crucial role in protecting the environment and creating a healthier and more sustainable future for planet Earth and humanity as a whole.
With the aim of promoting awareness of health and sustainability issues through immersive educational experiences, each section of the "Life Hub" harnesses modern and advanced technology to convey information in an enjoyable way, which makes it easier for exhibition visitors of all ages to understand the most important current health and sustainability issues in interactive ways.
In this regard, the Dean of Weill Cornell Medicine, Qatar Dr Javaid Sheikh expressed his gratitude for the active participation in Expo 2023 Doha, which reflects Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar's commitment to highlighting the paramount importance of health and sustainability in various aspects of life. He emphasized the close relationship between the environment and health, stating, "We must work together to create a sustainable future where everyone enjoys health and well-being. The Secretary-General of Expo, Mohammed al-Khouri said that hosting the exhibition under the theme 'Green Desert, Better Environment' aligns perfectly with Qatar's National Vision 2030, where the objectives are centered around establishing an environment that fosters innovative ideas in the fields of modern agriculture, technology, innovation, environmental awareness and sustainability.
