The United Nations announced that the occupation army informed it of the necessity of moving about 1.1 million Palestinians in Gaza to the south of the Strip within the next 24 hours.
Spokesman for the Secretary-General Stephane Dujarric said in a statement that the organization strongly appeals to cancel any deportation order for residents of the northern Gaza Strip to avoid a catastrophic situation.
The UN spokesman stressed that it is impossible to implement such an order without devastating humanitarian consequences.
Dujarric pointed out that the order issued by the occupation army also applies to all United Nations employees and those who reside in facilities affiliated with the organization, including schools, health centers and clinics.
In response, the government media office in Gaza said that warning Gazans to move is "false propaganda" and urged citizens in the Strip not to be led by it.
This development comes as the occupation army continues to launch heavy raids on the Gaza Strip for the seventh day in a row, in parallel with the mobilization of more of its forces around the Strip.
The occupation imposed a severe stranglehold on the already besieged Gaza Strip, cutting off the supplies of electricity, water and fuel, amid international warnings of dire consequences for the deteriorating humanitarian situation there.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that the death toll from the comprehensive Israeli occupation aggression against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank had risen to 1,573 martyrs and 7,262 injured.
