The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that more than 50 percent of the Palestinians killed in the Gaza Strip so far are children and women.
As the Israeli occupation planes continue to bomb homes and residential buildings in the Gaza Strip, the number of killed and wounded is rising, with children and women having the largest share, the Ministry said in a statement Friday, adding that their number is estimated at more than half of the total number of causalities so far.
During the past few hours, hospitals in the Gaza Strip received more than 120 killed martyrs, as a result of the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, for the seventh day in a row.
Last night and today, Israeli occupation aircraft bombed dozens of homes and residential buildings in various areas of the Gaza Strip, leaving dozens killed and wounded.
In its latest statistics, the Ministry reported that the death toll in the Gaza Strip rose to 1,537 and about 6,612 wounded, while the toll in the West Bank reached 35 martyrs and more than 650 wounded.
Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation forces have continued their comprehensive aggression on land, air and sea against the Gaza Strip for about a week. It intensified the bombing of residential neighborhoods and homes, destroying them on the heads of their residents, and targeting civilian facilities.
The surprise "Al-Aqsa Flood" operation was launched by the Palestinian resistance, last Saturday, on the settlements of what is known as the "Gaza envelope", coinciding with the implementation of missile strikes from all areas of the Gaza Strip, in response to the ongoing Israeli violations against the Palestinian people, which have so far resulted in the death of 1,400 Israelis and the injury of more than 3,300 others, according to the Israeli Broadcasting Authority.
