Kuwaiti Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Salem Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah has received a telephone call from his Iranian counterpart Hossein Amir-Abdollahian.

Talks over the phone addressed the latest developments in the occupied Palestinian territories and Gaza Strip, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.

The discussions also dealt with mutual cooperation and coordination to ensure safety of the people of Gaza.

During the conversation, Kuwaiti Minister of Foreign Affairs affirmed necessity to prevent scope of the conflict from expanding, alleviate tension, halt the escalation, safeguard lives of the innocent, and ensure delivery of relief and humanitarian aid to Gaza, the Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.

The two ministers also touched on various other issues of common concern. (QNA)
