Executive leaders of Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) participated in the 2023 International Conference on Person-Centred Care in Boston, Massachusetts, from October 8 to 11, with HMC being the event’s premier platinum partner.
Now in its 31st year, the Planetree International Conference is the leading conference in the field of person-centred care. The 2023 programme highlighted the connection between quality and safety and person-centred care, with a spotlight on caregiver wellbeing and healthcare sustainability. The conference brought together health professionals and person-centred care thought leaders from around the world.
Qatar delegation chair Nasser al-Naimi (deputy chief of Quality, HMC’s Centre for Patient Experience and Staff Engagement and director of Hamad Healthcare Quality Institute) participated in the conference along with Dr Muna al-Maslamani (medical director, Communicable Disease Centre); Dr Khalid al-Jalham (director, Ambulatory Care Centre), and Nayef al-Shamari (executive director, Corporate Communications).
“We are thrilled to be partnering once again with Planetree International to deliver this conference. HMC’s person-centred care programme drives our overall quality improvement efforts of identifying areas for improvement. It is also driving our teams to find innovative ways to enhance the patient experience to ensure they receive the best care possible,” al-Naimi said.
“We are so proud to be partnering with Hamad Medical Corporation on the 2023 Planetree Conference,” said Susan Frampton, president of Planetree International.
In the conference exhibition area, HMC highlighted its journey towards transforming the way it delivers services by creating a person-centred care culture in the healthcare system and finding innovative ways to enhance patient experience across the organisation.
