HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim al-Thani received a phone call Monday from Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr Ayman al-Safadi. During the phone call, they discussed the recent developments in Palestinian territories and Israel and ways to halt the escalation.
HE Sheikh Mohamed expressed Qatar's profound concern regarding the escalation of violence between the two sides, stressing the need to exercise the utmost restraint. He also stressed the need to consolidate the efforts of the two countries to calm the situation, reduce the escalation, and spare civilians from the consequences of the confrontations.
HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs also received a telephone call from Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian. The phone call dealt with discussing the developments in Palestinian territories and Israel, as well as ways to de-escalate.
He stressed the importance of enhancing regional and international efforts aiming for de-escalation, and to work on preventing the spread of violence. HE Sheikh Mohamed received a phone call yesterday from UK Foreign Secretary James Cleverly. During the phone call, they discussed the recent developments in Palestinian territories and Israel and ways to halt the escalation. HE the Prime Minister stressed the need to consolidate the efforts of the two countries to calm the situation, reduce the escalation, and spare civilians from the consequences of the confrontations.
