NBK Automobiles opens luxurious pavilion at GIMS Qatar 2023

Nasser Bin Khaled Automobiles, the authorised general distributor of Mercedes-Benz in Qatar, has unveiled its opulent pavilion at the Geneva International Motor Show (GIMS) Qatar 2023 at Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC).
The inauguration was in the presence of dignitaries including Sheikh Nawaf bin Nasser al-Thani, Chairman of NBK Group and Sheikh Faleh bin Nawaf bin Nasser al-Thani, managing director of the Automotive Sector at Nasser Bin Khalid Group; Selvin Govender, director of Market Management Middle East and Africa for Sales and Customer Services, Mercedes-Benz, along with VIP guests.
Occupying a prime location, the NBK Automobiles' luxurious pavilion embodies progressive design and innovative themes that resonate with the values and brand essence of Mercedes-Benz. Among the highlights is the regional debut of three models: the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class, Mercedes-Benz CLE Coupe, and Mercedes-AMG GLC Coupe.
Furthermore, it showcased an impressive lineup of cutting-edge electric vehicles and extensive range of SUVs, sporty vehicles, coupes, and the renowned luxury sedans Mercedes-AMG, Mercedes-Benz S-Class and Mercedes-Maybach S-Class.

The pavilion also showcases sporty SUVs, such as the Mercedes-Benz GLS, the Mercedes-AMG GLE Coupe, and the iconic luxury Mercedes-AMG G-Class. The Mercedes-Benz all-electric range (EQ) was also revealed for the first time in Qatar, featuring revolutionary technology and driving range. The impressive selection of electric vehicles include the EQS, EQS SUV, EQE SUV, and the Vision EQXX.
The new Mercedes-Benz E-Class combines tradition and modernity with progressive stylistic elements that are characteristic of innovative dynamism. The interior is well equipped with the latest state-of-the-art technology systems that raise the driving experience to higher levels.
The new infotainment MBUX Hyperscreen with a selfie and video camera and a aesthetically high-tech appearance offers many new functions and services as well as opportunities for interaction between the driver and the car. The car is equipped with several multimedia, assistance systems, comfort and safety categories. The head-up display transforms the windscreen into a digital cockpit.
The new Mercedes-Benz CLE Coupé embodies an emotional statement from every perspective. The sporty, elegant two-door unites proportions typical of a coupé with the modern design language of Mercedes-Benz, whose aesthetic soul is shaped by the design philosophy of Sensual Purity. This creates a sculptural appearance for the CLE Coupé, characterised by flowing surfaces with seamless transitions.
Progressive sportiness extends in the form of a line flowing from the striking front section with a deep-faced bonnet to the powerful rear end. The new frameless rear design appears perfectly shaped with its modern two-piece rear lights.
The new Mercedes-Benz CLE Coupé features new brilliance in the digital cockpit, which is progressive and intuitive. With the digital 12.3” display and various display styles, the driver decides which information is important and how it is displayed. The Burmester® 3D-Surround-Soundsystem with Dolby Atmos delivers an exceptional musical experience. The Multicontour seats for drivers and passengers combine a range of adjustment options for luxurious comfort.
The new GLC Coupé completes the successful midsize series from Mercedes-AMG and sets another highlight in the model portfolio with its combination of dynamic elegance and characteristic AMG features. Striking proportions and exciting surfaces underline its unmistakable appearance, complemented by the high-quality interior.
The sporty silhouette with a flowing transition to the rear is the main feature of the new Mercedes‑AMG GLC Coupé. The headlights connect to the top of the AMG-specific radiator trim and thus emphasise the width of the vehicle. The AMG front apron in jet wing design with large air inlets, vertical fins and additional flics sets striking, independent accents. Precise side edges emphasise the sporty proportions and the powerful wheel arches.
The heart of the new Mercedes-AMG GLC Coupé models is the AMG 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine, which combines innovative technologies and high performance with exemplary efficiency. The engine remains true to a tradition typical of the brand: it was not only completely developed at the company's Affalterbach location but is also manufactured there according to the “One Man, One Engine” principle. Mercedes-AMG combines the craftsmanship of its highly qualified employees with the most modern production methods of Industry 4.0 and a high level of digitalisation.
In the GLC 63 S E PERFORMANCE Coupé, the M139l produces 350 kW (476 hp) at 6,725 rpm, making it the most powerful series-produced four-cylinder in the world. The maximum combustion engine torque of 545 Nm is at 5,250-5,500 rpm. In the performance hybrid, the 2.0-litre engine is combined with a permanently excited synchronous electric motor, a high-performance battery developed in Affalterbach and the fully variable AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive.
The system output of 500 kW (680 hp) and the maximum system torque of 1,020 Nm enable impressive driving performance: acceleration from a standstill to 100 km/h takes place in 3.5 seconds. The propulsion only ends at an electronically limited speed of 275 km/h.

Superior elegance and a luxurious feeling of spaciousness in ideal harmony is the design idiom of sensual purity in translation for the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class.
A wide selection of the finest materials with refined surfaces as well as various seat options for individual configuration is available in the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class. In addition, there is the orchestration of innovative technology and high-resolution screens as an operating and display concept as well as for work and infotainment.
The Mercedes-AMG G-Class underpins its unique position among performance off-road vehicles. The AMG 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine generates 430 kW (585 hp) and delivers a maximum torque of 850 Nm. The driving characteristics can be individualised at the touch of a finger with five on-road and three off-road driving modes. With the five DYNAMIC SELECT on-road modes "Slippery", "Comfort", "Sport", "Sport+" and "Individual", the characteristics range from efficient and comfortable to high performance.
Mercedes-Benz GLS demonstrates a sense of dominance and presence at a high level: the exterior combines hallmark SUV features with a modern, powerful design. High-quality materials, generous dimensions and intelligent details form the basis for a luxurious atmosphere and comfortable travel in up to seven seats.
Classic SUV design elements contrast interestingly with the fully digital widescreen display to highlight the off-road character of the GLS. These include extensive open-pore wood trim, striking angular air vents and, most conspicuously, the grab handles on the centre console. The front seats feature structured upholstery in typical SUV style to further emphasize the vehicle's off-road credentials.
The interior features the ultimate in elegance and first-class quality down to the finest details. The luxurious highlights and fine ambience of the interior will bring a whole new sense of joy every day. The car is also equipped with MBUX Rear Seat Entertainment System with wood and leather multifunction steering wheel and load compartment variability so the backrests of the second and third seat rows can be folded down individually or together.
With its expressive exterior, progressive elegant interior, and turbocharging engine, the Mercedes-AMG GLE Coupé reflects the dynamic and athletic model that fits all terrains. The AMG front apron has model-specific features such as sporty outer air inlets, each with two side louvres in silver chrome, and black flics.
The look and feel typical of the brand also continue in the high-quality interior. Characteristic colour highlights such as red contrasting topstitching on the upholstery and red seat belts ensure a thoroughly sporty ambience with a dynamic and exclusive touch. The AMG seats in black ARTICO man-made leather / DINAMICA microfibre provide optimum lateral support and have an AMG-specific pattern layout with "AMG" badges on the front backrests.
AMG-specific interior features and controls lend a typical AMG atmosphere to the cockpit and support the sporty, precise handling. The basis for the hallmark AMG vehicle dynamics is provided by the electrified 3.0-litre engine with twin turbocharging (435 hp) and delivers a maximum torque of 520 Nm. Its EQ Boost starter-alternator delivers an additional 16 kW (22 hp) and 250 Nm of torque for a short period and feeds the 48-volt onboard electrical system.
