Sheikh Dr Khalid bin Jabor al-Thani, chairman of Qatar Cancer Society, received Monday Dr Rayana Bou Haka, World Health Organisation representative in Qatar. They discussed ways of cooperation through joint programmes and shared QCS's progress and programmes.
The meeting highlighted the latest developments in cancer control and in supporting, empowering, and advocating those living with cancer as well as professional development and scientific research in cancer. The meeting also presented the health care services available in Qatar concerning cancer, especially the charity.
Dr Bou Haka toured the QCS Cancer Awareness Centre and was given a brief of the programmes. She, praised QCS efforts in promoting the culture of early detection of the disease, raising awareness, and supporting people living with cancer.
