HE the Minister of State for International Co-operation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Lolwah bint Rashid AlKhater met with Commissioner-General of the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), Philippe Lazzarini, on the sidelines of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly in New York.
The meeting discussed co-operation ties between the State of Qatar and UNRWA.
HE AlKhater affirmed Qatar's firm position on the justice of the Palestinian cause and its enduring support for the Palestinian refugees, lauding the role undertaken by UNRWA in this respect.
Lazzarini extended his thanks and appreciation to Qatar for its constant support for the Palestinian refugees, adding that UNRWA aspires to further co-operation between the two parties. (QNA)
