Vodafone Qatar, in partnership with Qatar University (QU), was the official Telecom Partner of TEDXQatarUniversity, recently held in Doha.
TEDxQatarUniversity followed the same structure as the globally renowned TED Talks, which aim to promote thought-provoking conversations that inspire individuals on a whole range of topics.
The event under the theme ‘Evolution in Action: How the Past Shapes the Future’, saw speakers to reflect on how their experiences within their specific specialist fields have evolved over time, and how they can adapt to these changes to continue to create a positive impact in a constantly changing world.
The speakers included KON Group chairperson Hessa al-Sowaidi, as well as a number of QU alumni and faculty, including sixth year medical student, Sama al-Dorri; researcher and founder, Shaza Benabia; public speaker, Lubaba Youssef; environmentalist, Aisha al-Remaihi, and chief strategy and development officer, Khaled al-Khanji.
