Instant messaging platform WhatsApp launched Tuesday a new feature that allows users to find and search for channels using advanced options.
Users can now filter channels in the section designated for them within the application to display only channels belonging to their country or any other country. In addition, there is a Global option that allows displaying all channels without being restricted to a specific country, and users can also filter channels based on activity, most popular, or newest channels and can search directly for channels through the search bar.
WhatsApp has begun making the new update available to users in the Google Play Store for Android devices and the App Store for iPhone devices and is expected to reach users gradually over the next few days.
These new options allow you to easily explore and join the channels available within WhatsApp without the need for previous knowledge about them.
The Channels feature in WhatsApp is currently available in 9 countries and is expected to gradually expand to become available in more countries, indicating that this feature enables channel supervisors to send messages to their followers without revealing their personal data and allows users to interact with these messages using emojis.
