Social Development Center (NAMA), an affiliate of Ministry of Social Development and Family's Qatar Foundation for Social Work is due to organise a new edition of ‘Business and Coffee’ and speakers series-inspired programmes on Wednesday August 30 within the framework of encouraging and spurring individuals towards entrepreneurship.
The two programmes primarily target Qatari community individuals from both genders whose ages range between 18-year-old to 45 who either wish to establish new commercial enterprises, or expand their existing enterprises, in accordance with the classification of small and micro-enterprises.
The Business and Coffee programme aims to reach out to the targeted segments to converge in a selected group of local cafes to organize public consultative and individual sessions offered by a contingent of professionals in Entrepreneurship.
The key objective of these activities is to promote atmosphere of those targeted individuals in pivoting towards small trading business and micro-enterprises through encouraging and spurring them to establish enterprises and directly transfer the expertise of the most prominent entrepreneurs, as well as explore the success and challenges faced those prominent entrepreneurs and overcome them accordingly.
The activities also aim to raise awareness of the targeted individuals on polices and measures regularizing entrepreneurship in Qatar and integration with stakeholders.
Entrepreneurship Manager at NAMA Mohammed Al Abdulghani said Business and Coffee project is a development program that essentially aims to encourage individuals who wish to engage in entrepreneurship activities prior to initiating their projects, in addition to raising awareness of owners of both small and micro-enterprises on an array of topics pertinent to this field.
The two programmes primarily intend to spur the individuals to unlock their potential in a spontaneous environment away from the atmosphere of offices and ordinary workshops, Al Abdulghani added.
He pointed out that this years version aims to highlight the topics related to establishing projects and directing individuals to join the business world through equipping them with the essential knowledge to ensure a strong start and sustainable projects.
He said the consultative sessions are professional and technical in the world of entrepreneurship offered by professional experts through which they can identify practical solutions that might encounter them when starting a project.
