The Qatar Basketball Federation (QBF) on Sunday signed partnership agreements with Beyond Sports, the sports development unit of Beyond Perspective (Qatar’s first specialised multi-camera live stream company), and Elite Motors as part of its aims at further developing the game in the country.
By virtue of the partnership, which extends to 2027, Beyond Sports will be providing real-time live streams of all QBF-organised games and other related events, as well as boosting the promotion of basketball through both online and offline mediums, while Elite Motors will be providing transportation and logistical support to the federation, among others.
QBF Secretary-General Saadoun Sabah al-Kuwari, who signed on behalf of the federation; Founder, Beyond Sports/Beyond Perspective, Ahmed Kazwini; General Manager, Elite Motors, Mohamed Subaei; and several officials and guests attended the event.
QBF secretary-general said: “It gives us a great pleasure to sign these agreements with the two companies who are passionate about our sport and are willing to work with us to further enhance its growth and development. With Beyond Sports and Elite Motors coming on board, we believe that basketball is set for an upward move in Qatar. Our eyes are firmly set on hosting the world at the 2027 FIBA Basketball World Cup; all good hands have been put on the deck to ensure the kind of tournament the world has never experienced before.”
Founder, Beyond Sports/Beyond Perspective, Kazwini, said: “We are delighted to partner with the Qatar Basketball Federation to promote basketball in the country. We are determined to bring innovative solutions to basketball in the country, and we are looking forward to exponential growth both in followership and game attendance through our offerings. Through our partnership with QBF, we intend to build a much stronger media presence for the game and also generate more interest in the sport. Over the next few years, and hopefully beyond, we will work hand in hand with QBF to create a turnkey solution for sporting promotions and promote, firstly, the sport, secondly, the teams, and thirdly, the players.”
He added that Beyond Sports will be live streaming all QBF games, local and international, with superb broadcast quality, which will include live replays, scoreboards, opportunities for advertisement, and live commentary for the public and the world to follow the tournaments wherever they are.
Elite Motors General Manager, Subaei, said: “We’ve had a very good relationship with the federation over the years, and we are happy to officially partner with them on this worthy project. We are committed to ensuring seamless and stress-free service and helping promote basketball as much as possible in the country. We would like to thank QBF for this wonderful opportunity.”
The 2027 FIBA Basketball World Cup will be the 20th tournament of the FIBA Basketball World Cup for men’s national basketball teams.
