Caricature exhibition launch at QPC

The Qatar Press Centre witnessed Sunday evening the launch of Abdulaziz Sadiq’s journalistic caricature exhibition, featuring about 40 artworks. They will be displayed at the QPC headquarters until September 2, daily from 8am to 1pm, and 4pm to 10pm.
The artist expressed his happiness about the first cooperation with the QPC, explaining that the exhibition includes a number of drawings belonging to different topics of a social nature. He noted that the art of caricature is immensely popular in the press and has many followers, as well as being an important tool of journalism.
Sadiq has in the Qatari press a large archive that contains works he created during nearly 30 years. He has the ability to translate people's concerns in a sarcastic way, and to practice criticism with high eloquence that sometimes exceeds words.
