HE President of the Republic of Singapore Halimah Yacob met with HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani at The Istana presidential palace in the capital, Singapore, on Thursday.
At the outset of the meeting, HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs conveyed greetings of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to HE the President of Singapore, and His Highness' wishes of health and happiness to Her Excellency and to the government and friendly people of Singapore continued security and stability.
For her part, HE the President of Singapore entrusted HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs to convey her greetings to HH the Amir, wishing His Highness health and happiness, and the State of Qatar continued development and prosperity.
The meeting discussed aspects of the strategic cooperation between the two countries and ways of enhancing and promoting them in various fields, in addition to regional and international issues of common concern.
The meeting was attended by a number of Their Excellencies the ministers and high-ranking officials members of the official delegation accompanying HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs; and a number of Their Excellencies ministers and senior officials on the Singaporean side.
