Dr Ali Alalwan, a professor of marketing at the College of Business and Economics, Qatar University (QU), is included by Clarivate Analytics in the list of the most influential researchers in the world in the field of social sciences for the years 2021 and 2022.
This follows the fact that number of scientific citations for his research has reached nearly 7112 with an impact factor of 27 H-index, a QU statement said yesterday. Dr Alalwan has published 36 research papers in internationally accredited scientific journals.
Dr Alalwan said: “I have a rich research record for the last five years, as indicated in the terms and criteria of the award. Most of my research publications -36 papers- dealt with issues related to the subject of e-marketing and the use of social networking sites, communication tools, and digital commerce, especially in developing markets, such as the Jordanian and Saudi markets.”
“I own 36 research papers classified in the best internationally accredited scientific journals and within the Web of Science base, and I have participated in more than six scientific conferences during recent years.
Dr Alalwan indicated that during his work at QU, he has been able to publish 10 scientific papers in the most prestigious international journals. His academic activities include supervising master’s theses, as the number of students he has supervised in recent years has reached approximately seven. He has a number of master's theses at the University of Jordan and Al-Balqa Applied University, and he is considered an arbitrator for a number of accredited local and international journals.
In addition to his current work at QU, Dr Alalwan is currently holding the position of editorial assistant in the International Journal of Electronic Government Research. He is also a permanent member of the editorial board of the International Journal of Information Management.
