Qatar Foundation for Social Work has organised a programme on Etiquette, International Protocol, and Diplomacy for its employees at the Communication and Public Relations departments and its affiliated centers.
The programme aimed at equipping participants with the knowledge and skills that enable them to maintain effective interaction in diplomatic contexts and enhance understanding and effective communication among different entities. Further, the participants were trained on a comprehensive set of skills and knowledge about etiquette, international protocol, and diplomacy, which are essential for any event.
It lasted for four days and covered various topics such as international protocol and mutual respect, diplomatic conduct rules, organizing official events, effective language communication, and handling difficult situations. Participants also learned how to deal with the diverse customs and traditions of different cultures.
Rashid bin Mohamed al-Hamda al-Nuaimi, Acting CEO of Qatar Foundation for Social Work, said: "We live in a more connected world than ever before, and this means that interactions and relationships require not only professional and knowledge-based skills, but rather a deep understanding of the protocols and etiquettes that govern these relationships. Acting with courtesy and respect plays a crucial role in achieving success and building strong relationships. The programme aims to provide participants with tools and skills to deal with diplomatic challenges, negotiate, and communicate eloquently in a manner that reflects mutual respect and multiculturalism."
