Kicking off its fiscal year 2023-2024, the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) Doha held its 16th general assembly and induction ceremony recently.
Graced by consul general Cassandra Karemaeh Sawadjaan, assistant labour attache Don Albert Philippe Pangcog, and Philippine Professional Organisation Qatar chairperson Marvin Tejada, the event was attended by around 150 professionals and guests.
Outgoing chapter president Dave Barrameda handed over the leadership to the incoming chapter president, John Vincent Gunita. This year’s theme, “Sweeter As The Years Go By”, highlights the organisation’s 16 years of rich history, excellence, and service to the accounting profession in Qatar.
The Xtreme Level Dance Crew and Jonas Presas performed during the intermission, followed by the concluding segment 'Picpa Talks' with the topic 'Trailblazing the Path of Leadership: A Remarkable Journey of Vision, Tenacity, and Achievement'.
Lory Joy Alvarez, Atty Chace Montealagre, and Robert Lepon, shared their industry know-how and inspirational messages on leadership and professional growth. The event was emceed by Toastmasters Aris Riparip and Trixie Santos.
