It will promote sustainable environmental practices, raise awareness about clean technology and renewable energy among youth, stimulate scientific research and innovation, and contribute to building a knowledge-based and innovative economy.
QSC head of public relations and community engagement Eman al-Obaidi noted that "Sustainability Tech" includes 13 different training workshops, each tailored for specific age group of young people.
These workshops are led by 15 Qatari trainers specialised in sustainability areas.
Out of over 300 registration applications, 140 participants were selected.
Al-Obaidi explained that 10 sustainability-related projects were showcased in a dedicated exhibition to highlight participants' achievements.
The workshops cover various topics such as employing technology in sustainability, sustainable environmental technologies, sustainable robotics, renewable energy, household carbon footprint, recycling robots, sustainable engineering structures, robotics, chemistry for sustainability, sustainable development goals, recycling, and sustainable community work, as well as building information modeling.
The programme was held in accordance with the theme of this year's International Youth Day, 'Green Skills for Youth: Towards a Sustainable World'.
